The Great Beast, occultist Aleister Crowley, wrote about BABALON, a complex goddess figure found within his Thelemic system of magick. She is said to have three essential aspects: The Gateway to the City of the Pyramids, the Scarlett Woman, and the Great Mother (Mother of Abominations).
